Dr White joined Garswood surgery in May 2004 and, with a highly experienced colleague, developed Garswood surgery from ‘scratch‘. The practice currently has a list size of over 3400 patients, which continues to increase rapidly.
Dr White is involved in all clinical and management decisions and has developed protocols and near patient testing, warfarin monitoring, and chronic disease management. He undertakes joint injections and minor surgery.
In November 2007, Dr White enrolled in iMAP and will have completed his application for MRCGP by October 2008. |

| Medical students have attended Garswood Surgery since 2004 and Dr White acts as lead mentor and medical student facilitator. He also lead mentors and facilitates the F2 doctor. Furthermore, as Garswood is a University of Liverpool-accredited training practice, Dr White is undertaking the application period to become a GP trainer, having completed the Foundation Course in Education and the Communication Skills courses. He is also a GP appraiser of the Halton and St Helens Primary Care Trust. |
